Flying Sparks formed in early 2012. They quickly recorded some demos at artisan/builder/designer Corey Gash‘s Pheasant Studios, made a couple of live videos, and booked their first show which was on July 21 at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. They have played a handful of shows since then and are currently working to finish recordings for what will be their first EP. Flying Sparks was recently nominated by the OC Music Awards in the Best Indie category and included as part of the Best Live Band showcase series. Their song “Don’t Keep It Close To Your Heart” has received airplay on KCRW 89.9 – Los Angeles.
